Requirements
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (accredited four-year College or university, e.g., political sciences, law, economics, medicine, or pharmacy), is required.
  • A minimum of 12 years of combined professional experience across Public Affairs; Market Access; Policy or a Government Affairs position with policy-shaping responsibilities, or other relevant pharma experience, is required.
  • Selected candidate will have current or prior experience in developing policy and advocacy strategies, in addition to advanced responsibilities in an industry public affairs role.
  • This position will require strong collaboration across the Local and Global teams.
  • Identified candidates will have proven experience in developing and leading within a highly matrixed and pressured environment.
  • Previous experience partnering with cross-functional teams is strongly preferred (e.g., Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Communications).
  • This position may require up to 30% overall travel.
Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing global public affairs plans to deliver on the strategic objectives of the franchise, with a focus on in-line (Altuviiio) and pipeline (fitusiran) assets.
  • Drive implementation of a robust Global PA strategy to achieve the vision for the franchise- reinforcing the company’s commitment to the hemophilia community, supporting high priority business objectives for the portfolio, and preparing the environment for significant launches and/or uptake of new therapies.
  • Through scientific exchanges, evidence generation, community engagement and other high impact public affairs initiatives, elevate the goals for hemophilia treatment and care.
  • Reinforce Sanofi’s long-standing position as a leader in innovation and patient commitment in hemophilia.
  • Manage strong relationships with patient groups and key stakeholders to ensure that the 'voice of the patient' is central in shaping business strategy and development opportunities.
  • Work with local PA teams to ensure global strategies reflect local realities and relevance/utility of global tools.
  • Leverage resources and expertise across US and Corporate Affairs functions, secure alignment and champion one voice.
  • Collaborate with key cross functional partners to advance policy to ensure patient access to treatment, ensure external community input is considered/incorporated into programs currently in development and/or life cycle improvements, appropriately educate external partners on breadth of Sanofi programs.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and patient groups to bring needed solutions to patients in line with the priorities of the franchise and consistent with overall company position.
  • Understand important trends likely to impact business strategy – monitor and analyze potential threats, opportunities from external developments and communicate them effectively to the TA leadership.
  • Serve as strategic advisor and support the TA Heads with external engagements relevant to properly operate commercial operations and protect/advance Sanofi’s reputation.
  • Develop and execute external engagement strategy for senior TA leadership to establish Sanofi’s commitment to science and patients in rare diseases.
Desired Qualifications
  • Post-graduate degree in public health or health care related field /Doctorate degree or business (e.g., M.D., PhD, PharmD, MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Prior experience in hemophilia is preferred for this position.
