Product Design
  • Expert in Machining (mill, lathe, router, 3-axis, 5-axis, etc.)
  • Expert in rigging, material movement and setup of large (>10,000 lb) machined parts and developing lift plans for movement of large material and parts
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects and coordinating teams of people to accomplish tasks
  • Expert in reading and interpreting engineering and assembly drawings
  • Expert in GD&T
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Solidworks preferred
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers to perform daily work
  • Strong demonstrated experience in managing growing teams and development of other leaders and individual contributors
  • Experience machining stainless steel
  • Proven team player with excellent verbal, written communication/presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues
  • Ability to work with highly collaborative team

  • Drive the install, commissioning and operation of large-format CNC machines
  • Identify machining development needs, procure practice materials and tooling to hit tolerance requirements
  • Build integrated project schedules and deliver complex multi-step and multi-person assemblies on time and budget
  • Partner with engineering team and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) to ensure cost-effective designs
  • Apply knowledge of product design, machining, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials to select and install machines
  • Complete work order planning including estimates of machining and staffing times
  • Operate and program machines to deliver parts meeting internal deadlines and quality requirements
  • Develop safety programs and processes to ensure personnel safety
  • Drive team building and cross-functional collaboration for daily operational objectives
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
  • Assist in developing and communicating shop objectives and plans
  • Other duties as assigned
