  • Expert in Machining (mill, lathe, router, 3-axis, 5-axis, etc.)
  • Expert in rigging, material movement and setup of large (>10,000 lb) machined parts
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects
  • Expert in reading and interpreting engineering and assembly drawings
  • Expert in GD&T
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Solidworks preferred
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers
  • Strong demonstrated experience in managing growing teams
  • Experience machining stainless steel
  • Proven team player with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to seek efficiencies in problem-solving
  • Ability to work with collaborative teams
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently

Responsibilities
  • Drive the install, commissioning and operation of large-format CNC machines
  • Identify machining development needs and procure practice materials
  • Build integrated project schedules and deliver complex assemblies on time and budget
  • Partner with engineering team for Design for Manufacturability
  • Apply knowledge of product design, machining, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
  • Complete work order planning and ensure high-quality end products
  • Operate and program machines to meet deadlines and quality requirements
  • Develop safety programs and processes for personnel safety
  • Drive team building and cross-functional collaboration
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
  • Assist in developing and communicating shop objectives
  • Other duties as assigned
