Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in entertainment lighting and/or audiovisual system integration sales.

  • Willingness to prospect for new business, travel, and work regularly with clients in their own environment.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strategic customer relationships to drive customer success and revenue growth.
  • Engage in client relationship building through prospecting, scheduled client check-ins, in-person appointments, travel, and job-site presence as needed.
  • Influence product specification by working with owners, designers, consultants, agents, and manufacturers' representatives.
  • Develop consultant and designer relationships so the company is listed as an approved bidder and positioned advantageously at bid time.
  • Set annual client-relationship development and financial targets with the Vice President of Sales.
  • Develop and pursue an industry network, manage key retention accounts, and identify client growth opportunities.
  • Enter sales activities and customer data into the customer relationship management system.
  • Monitor the sales pipeline and update opportunities, quotations, and sales orders.
  • Review quarterly profitability reports, identify margin issues, and pursue revenue-growth opportunities.
  • Understand specifications, clarify unclear details, and review bid documentation, equipment lists, drawings, contracts, payment terms, insurance, and bid-bond requirements.
  • Write bid takeoffs and initial bills of materials.
  • Work with the Sales Coordinator to build complete job costing.
  • Set margins and selling prices strategically.
  • Compile complete proposal submissions, including cover letters, scopes of work, cut sheets, submittal drawings, pricing proposals, corporate profiles, and project case studies.
  • Engage with Project Management during bid preparation on technical specifications, system design, resource planning, and drawings.
  • Participate in project kick-off and post-mortem meetings.
  • Transition project and service control to the Project Management team for execution and fulfillment.
  • Communicate change orders effectively.
  • Remain independently focused on established goals and maintain proactive daily business practices.
  • Participate in portfolio update meetings with the Vice President of Sales.
  • Delegate project and subcontractor management to the appropriate department.
  • Communicate questions, issues, and strategies with the Vice President of Sales and seek support as needed.
  • Work with Operations, Finance, and Project Management departments for support.

Christie Lites rents and provides stage lighting and related production services for theatre, concerts, trade shows, TV & film, corporate presentations, and special events. Its network of shops across the US, Canada, and the UK ensures a consistent inventory and technical support, with dedicated rental representatives for each client to manage shows across locations. Equipment and services are coordinated through a multi-location system so clients experience uniform offerings wherever a show takes place. The goal is to deliver reliable, location-spanning lighting rental and production support that helps clients execute high-quality events across regions.
