Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required for consideration
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in technical discipline and fifteen (15) years of direct project management/analysis experience
  • Extensive computer skills including familiarity with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience with FAA at WJHTC including scheduling, performing, reporting, analyzing, and documenting activities associated with ensuring the productivity and efficiency of programs
  • This includes performing evaluations of actual vs. budgeted cost, schedule, and performance data; identifying manpower resource requirements; developing assessment metrics; compiling actual cost, schedule, and performance data; developing variance information; producing cost, schedule, and performance budget forecasts; developing, managing, and leading schedules and budgets; and producing, administrative, management, and technical reports, presentations, and correspondence
  • Knowledge of FAA systems, equipment, procedures, operations, and budgeting is required
  • Knowledge of project management and FAA Technical Documentation requirements is required
  • Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for schedule and budget performance, and for assessing program, administrative, management, and technical effectiveness is required
Responsibilities
  • Manages the day-to-day activities on complex Technical or non-Technical project(s)
  • Manages the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer
  • Monitors project(s) to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained
  • Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received
  • May conduct performance/project analyses to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs
  • Performs complex tasks and has some latitude for determining appropriate processes to follow
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions. Supervision may be provided through a team of subordinate supervisors and/or managers
  • Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.   • Assists the Program Manager with project tasks and control functions using company unique applications such as Cost Point, or others as required
  • Assists Program Manager in billing processes and invoice generation, submission, and payment tracking
  • Assists the Program Manager in generating and providing non-recurring and recurring reports including timekeeping, recruiting, staffing, travel, expenses, etc., and is responsible for reconciliation activities
  • Ensures quality of deliverables and tracks and maintains configuration management of all reports, Technical Documentation presentations, and correspondence
  • Develops assessment metrics, compiles actual cost, schedule, and performance data; develops variance information producing cost, schedule, and performance budget forecasts
  • Develops and manages activity schedules and budgets
  • Produces management reports, presentations, and correspondence
  • Provides on-site support when required, primarily during standard business hours and/or contractually mandated core hours from 6am – 6pm, Monday through Friday; provides occasional support outside of core business hours
