Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • A State Electrical license, technical certificate and/or a minimum of 3-5 years of related, verifiable experience and/or training or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization and communication are necessary
  • Ability to anticipate problems and implement appropriate preventative measures
  • Ability to develop and convey new techniques for work processes
  • Ability to redirect to issues as they emerge and reprioritize based on current business conditions
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to multi-task
  • Be organized and able to plan, prioritize and follow through on projects assigned with minimal supervision
  • Ability to carry out the responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures and OSHA laws
  • 3+ years previous, verifiable work experience
  • Basic computer skills to be utilized in communication, research and troubleshooting
  • Possess a working knowledge in PLC Logic, Programming and DC Control systems
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical, electrical and preventative maintenance systems
  • Knowledge of all electrical (low voltage DC, Single phase, three phase, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Maintain, service, troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical components and electronic circuitry and related components associated with production equipment utilized in a industrial, 24/7 operation
  • Must have verifiable experience along with good working knowledge in the electronic diagnostics of PLCs, AC/DC drive systems, various types of computer operated control circuitry which includes working with voltages up to 480VAC
  • Utilize electrical ladder diagrams, electronic circuitry diagrams, and software programs to modify, repair, or improve equipment functionality
  • Use a variety of tools such as: hand/power tools, electrical/electronic test equipment and calibration equipment
  • Proficient in the diagnosis and repair of a wide variety of electrically driven equipment
  • Work closely with managers, other technicians and peers to maintain electronic/electrical systems on existing and new/specialized equipment
  • Perform hands-on electrical/mechanical maintenance of production equipment
  • Perform hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairs in response to equipment error or failure in a real time production environment (A sense of urgency and ownership of the situation is a must)
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment (such as die cutters, large format heat set web offset and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment, etc.) in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer’s specifications, using hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Repair or reproduce parts as required using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders or other machine shop equipment
  • Perform general plant maintenance inside and outside facility as required and instructed by departmental leadership
  • Assist contractors with specific projects
  • Log and maintain inventory records of machine parts, tools and maintenance supplies
  • Log and maintain preventative & predictive maintenance, and maintenance request records
  • Must follow all company policies in regard to SOP's and Safety requirements
