- An Associate of Science degree in Computer Science or related field and three years of experience doing Validation or Development on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field and one year of experience doing Validation or Development on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Must have experience setting up and debugging personal computer hardware platforms including installing and configuring Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have a working knowledge of wired networking protocols and configuration.
- Set up test configurations following guidelines provided to him by the project lead.
- Run predefined tests.
- Report results and troubleshoot any issues encountered.
- Report results into a custom on-line tool and document issues in the team's defect tracking system.
- Experience setting up and configuring VMware.
- Experience with test tools used by the team such as netperf, Iperf (jperf), netPIPE, IxChariot, Pktgen, WCAT/Web Fundamentals, Ntttcp, IOmeter, Medusa Test Suite, RFC2544 Test Suite
