Requirements
  • Experience with reinforced concrete structures and system formwork
  • Proficiency in Leica survey equipment
  • Hold or be working towards a relevant degree qualification in civil engineering (or equivalent) and may be progressing towards chartership
  • Comfortable with quality management systems and writing risk assessments and method statements
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Hold CSCS White Card and AQP card and Supervisor HSE test, with flexibility to work occasional weekends when required
  • BPSS security clearance and Government Security Check (SC) clearance requirement
  • Eligibility criteria: passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and residency in the UK for the past 5 years
  • Location: Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard; Hours: 45 per week; Availability of security clearance process up to 8 weeks
Responsibilities
  • Setting out works to precise specifications and ensuring all construction meets required tolerances and quality standards
  • Supporting quality assurance processes, including preparing as-built drawings, conducting inspections, and maintaining comprehensive project records
  • Collaborating with the team to overcome technical challenges and providing engineering support to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Assisting with site safety, environmental, and quality inspections to maintain high standards
  • Recording and testing workmanship and materials, including drainage, concrete, and structural elements
