Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a position-relevant engineering field from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology-accredited school.
  • No previous relevant work experience is required.
  • Knowledge of codes and standards applicable to project design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review design computations, plan designs, and drawings.
  • Review submittals and coordinate project submissions.
  • Prepare and review specifications, draft letters, and written technical reports.
  • Complete inspections and field work assignments as needed.
  • Research, review, interpret, and understand written regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements and apply them to design projects.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of work and project records.
  • Develop technically accurate, clean, and deliverable drawings.
  • Promote, utilize, and support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverable quality and reduce design errors and omissions.
  • Perform work within assigned budgets.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior internships in the architecture and engineering industry.
  • Engineer in Training licensure or certification.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, InRoads Surfaces and Templates, and related software programs.
  • A strong desire to expand knowledge and undertake new responsibilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
