Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in life sciences product development with familiarity in nonclinical, analytical, clinical, and regulatory functional areas.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience.
  • Experience with the management of United States Government contracted programs.
  • Experience with project financial management including budget development, actuals tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Experience managing projects and in-depth understanding of project management principles.
  • Project management skills including successful delivery of projects on schedule and to budget.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Project or other scheduling software, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with an emphasis on building consensus.
  • Ability to work independently or in collaboration with others.
  • Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity, with personal ownership of deliverables and results.
  • Ability to work effectively with teams often comprised of multiple disciplines.
Responsibilities
  • Provide consulting services for Sia/LBG clients.
  • Routinely provide strategic oversight to maintain alignment of project milestones with day-to-day activities.
  • Manage the content, quality, and distribution of project management deliverables, including reports and dashboards, and routine updates covering schedule, budget, and risk; usually serve as the final reviewer.
  • Establish strong working relationships with leadership and project functional teams across all levels.
  • Serve as project spokesperson and facilitate communications with internal and external stakeholders through meetings, reports, and other channels.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including CMC, Medical Affairs/Clinical, Nonclinical, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, and Contracts Management, to drive program activities against scheduled timelines, approved scope, and approved budget.
  • Manage project financials, including vendor invoice review and approval, budget development, actuals tracking, maintenance of time-phased financial forecasts, and preparation of project financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage strategic risks and issues and provide expertise in identifying and implementing risk-mitigation activities.
  • Navigate different areas and work with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.
  • Balance project demands and align or realign budget, quality, timeline, and scope as needed.
  • Lead product development meetings and ensure that project leaders and subteam leaders have the information and support needed to implement the project.
  • Drive strategic planning as it relates to the discipline.
  • Adhere to Sia/LBG quality standards for client deliverables.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Project Management Professional certification.
  • Master's degree related to Project Management or Business disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or relevant disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
  • Strong understanding of current Good Practice guidelines and United States Food and Drug Administration regulatory requirements.

Sia acquires Kaiser Associates to launch global corporate strategy and M&A business line

Sia, a global management consulting group, has acquired Kaiser Associates, a US-based strategy consulting firm, to launch a dedicated Corporate Strategy, Private Equity and M&A business line spanning the US, UK, France, Middle East and Australia. Founded in 1981, Kaiser Associates brings 65 consultants and operates from Washington, D.C., New York and London. The firm specialises in go-to-market strategy, growth assessments and market landscaping for Fortune 500 executives and private equity funds. Kaiser Associates' leadership team, including Ali Cumber, Paul Mumma and Jon Meyerholz, will join Sia as partners, with Meyerholz heading the new business line as managing partner. The acquisition expands Sia's North American presence and strengthens its position in private equity advisory.
