Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Dispatch emergency roadside assistance calls to members and club fleet personnel via radio, telephone, or electronic systems.
  • Receive and manage emergency and commercial road service calls using a computer-aided call processing system.
  • Perform geographical location spotting and map reading to determine member or customer locations.
  • Provide detailed instructions to fleet service or contracted personnel.
  • Monitor dispatched calls and take action to resolve and correct service or other potential problems.
  • Handle driver and customer escalations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide explanations to customers and prepare reports or documentation about service issues.
  • Close service requests using the company electronic dispatching system.
  • Accept payments from members or customers when necessary.
  • Reconcile and resolve rudimentary payment issues and maintain related records and files.
  • Assist coworkers and less-tenured dispatchers as necessary.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures related to emergency roadside service benefits.
  • Experience reading and comprehending customer-care service tools such as manuals and work models.
  • Experience dispatching calls.
  • Experience in a call-center environment.
