Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer license in the State of Washington is required
  • Experience as a Resident Engineer on transit and rail and highways
  • Ten or more years of experience in the field
Responsibilities
  • Conducts and documents project meetings with clients
  • Manages construction field personnel including teaming partners
  • Negotiates and approves construction change orders
  • Responds to Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Prepares proposals and presentations
  • Prepares and monitors project schedules and budgets
  • Prepares and issues reports and correspondence
  • Approves quantities for measurement and payment purposes
  • Approves construction payment applications
  • Resolves technical issues
  • Performs constructability reviews and value engineering studies
  • Leads risk management assessments
  • Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans
  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures
Desired Qualifications
  • CCM preferred
  • Experience with Primavera P6 preferred
  • Ten-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety course preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess a driver’s license to fulfill the essential functions of the position
