Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in the position offered or a related occupation.
  • Experience managing engineering individual contributors.
  • Experience with .NET, Angular, React, and AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience working in legacy code environments.
  • Experience in e-commerce or shipping.
  • Experience with cloud-based software development and deployment.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Experience with software architecture and design.
  • Experience delivering web-based software.
  • Experience monitoring and supporting web-based software in production.
  • Experience leading and managing a software team.
  • Experience managing and configuring security and bot rules in a Web Application Firewall using Imperva or Akamai.
  • Experience building cloud infrastructure using Terraform code.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of software engineers.
  • Guide technical direction and provide technical oversight for the team.
  • Understand business needs and conduct scoping and tradeoff conversations with product managers and engineers.
  • Drive the sprint cycle, apply project management skills, and remove blockers.
  • Define and refine team processes based on team needs and outcomes.
  • Mentor, guide, and provide career guidance for software engineers.
  • Lead the team through all phases of planning, developing, and delivering product features according to engineering standards.
  • Hold the team accountable for work quality and timelines.
  • Contribute to or review technical designs.
  • Own overall architectural decisions.
  • Ensure code reviews are conducted thoughtfully and routinely.
  • Write code.
  • Partner with Product Management to inform long-term product directions and roadmaps.
  • Supervise eight direct reports.
