Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking an experienced professional to join the 300mm semiconductor process integration team in photonics. The core responsibilities of this team involve ownership of process integration from development, customer engagement to production. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of developing and delivering advanced technology for mass production. Also, the ideal candidate can demonstrate a technical understanding of various processes and an understanding of a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve the technologies with quality, cost, and delivery all considered.   

Identify, resolve, and improve process integration issues and related problems Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:
• Perform project management and data analysis
• Identify and resolve process integration issues and related problems        

Support new designs with module characterization and design rule development. 
Develop custom or derivative processes to meet customer needs custom or derivative processes to meet customer needs
Work with cross function teams to resolve technical & yield concerns
Develop and improve test structures that enable fast and rigorous characterization of process    
Drive CIP (Continuous improvement plans) to deliver organizational goals
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements
• Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed                              

Essential Responsibilities:  

Bringing new feature rich technology to high volume manufacturing, in Photonics and RF, working with leading customers to deliver products.

Collaborating with technology development, process module & packaging team in ramping the technology and driving process solutions.   

Working with Technology Development & Business Unit to oversee the scope of projects and ensure that all technical needs are catered to.   

Other Responsibilities:   

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.   

Experience of leading engineering teams, ramping advanced technology for mass production.   

Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE). 

Strong project management skills, particularly focused on managing schedules, scope, and cost trade-offs of projects.   

Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written. 

Preferred Qualifications:   

Master’s degree or PhD with required number of years’ experience in relevant field. Degree must be in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.  

High-Volume Manufacturing experience in the FEOL/BEOL process with FINFET technologies, FDSOI, eNVM, HV, Photonics or RF technologies are a plus.   

300mm Foundry experience. 

Results oriented and focused on quality of work. 

Excellent structured problem solving and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. 

Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, clients, as well as internal and external partners.  

Strong presentation and technical writing skills.
