As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

• Building, testing, and delivering our core backend services and API's that provision and manage virtual machines in the cloud.
• Ensuring the quality of service for hundreds of thousands of Linodes running across our global datacenter network.
• Understanding the overall software stack that makes us tick.
• Working in an environment that fosters innovative solutions, rapid development cycles, and open communication.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Demonstrate professional experience with Python, Perl, or other interpreted languages
• Be proficient with test frameworks such a pytest, minitest, nosetest or similiar
• Be proficient with the Linux operating system, Bash, networking, and shell scripting
• Have working knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure
• Possess familiarity with RESTful APIs and developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for appropriate coverage
• Have basic working knowledge of relational databases, like MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Have working knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions or GitLab.
