Responsibilities

With documentation or close engineer support, assemble and commission internally and externally designed equipment
Set up and operate laser systems and robots for production use
Develop requirements for and trial new software features
Carry out upgrades as well as highlight areas for improvement
Troubleshoot equipment that have complex computer-controlled electro-mechanical and optical systems
Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize tool downtime and increase equipment availability and reliability
Create and maintain production, maintenance, and repair documentation and records as needed
Work with team members and independently to support and maintain good manufacturing processes and continuous improvements
Communicate production status and issues in a timely manner to team members and management
Train personnel on equipment, maintenance, and safety practices
Assist in facilities maintenance to ensure an adequate production environment
Schedule will be Monday through Friday with occasional overtime required

Desired Qualifications

Manufacturing or facilities experience is a plus
Electrical and mechanical aptitude in industrial equipment (pumps, motors, compressors, heat exchangers, VFDs, PLCs, etc.) is a plus
Experience working with lasers and industrial ovens is a plus
Documentation experience is a plus

We are looking for a versatile technician to join our Product Technology and Equipment team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of a variety of CNC laser systems and automation robots, as well as the development and execution of processes to support our Power Electronics group. You will work closely with a team of mechanical engineers, as well as interface with operations teams, engineers, and scientists from other groups within the company to determine requirements and create unique products to meet those needs.

Typical salary range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00 per hour. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s job duties, experience, and expertise.
