Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in healthcare, life sciences, nursing, public health, regulatory science, or a related field is required.
  • Three years of experience in clinical research, including clinical trial operations, regulatory coordination, monitoring, or research quality assurance, is required.
  • Experience reviewing research documentation for compliance with Good Clinical Practice, federal regulations, and institutional policies is required.
  • Experience reviewing electronic medical records, regulatory binders, and electronic regulatory systems is required.
  • Experience identifying protocol deviations, documentation deficiencies, and compliance risks in clinical research settings is required.
  • Experience working with investigators, research teams, and clinical staff within a healthcare or clinical research environment is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software is required.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and federal regulations governing human subjects research is required.
  • Understanding of the clinical research study lifecycle, including study start-up, study conduct, and regulatory documentation management, is required.
  • Ability to review research documentation and study activities to assess compliance with protocol requirements and regulatory standards is required.
  • Experience navigating electronic health records and research documentation systems is required.
  • Ability to prepare clear monitoring reports and document findings is required.
  • Ability to collaborate with investigators and research teams to support continuous quality improvement in research operations is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform monitoring and audit activities across the organization's research portfolio.
  • Evaluate study conduct, regulatory documentation, and operational readiness to ensure compliance with protocols, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in healthcare, life sciences, nursing, public health, regulatory science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Clinical trial monitoring experience as a Clinical Research Associate, research auditor, or sponsor monitor is preferred.
  • Experience supporting industry-sponsored clinical trials is preferred.
  • Experience working in a large health system, academic medical center, or contract research organization is preferred.
  • Experience supporting complex or high-risk clinical trials, including oncology or early-phase studies, is preferred.
  • Experience conducting risk-based monitoring, site readiness reviews, or quality assurance assessments is preferred.
  • Certified Clinical Research Professional, Certified Clinical Research Associate, Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, Regulatory Affairs Certification, or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality is preferred.
  • Other research, audit, or monitoring certifications are preferred.
  • General understanding of medical terminology is preferred.
  • Ability to train individuals and provide education to small groups is preferred.
  • Experience using Clinical Trial Management Systems, REDCap, Cosmos, Epic, or other research software systems is preferred.

410 Medical raises $12M to scale emergency care device LifeFlow

410 Medical has secured $12 million in financing to expand its commercial operations and develop its next-generation LifeFlow infuser. Orlando Health Ventures led the oversubscribed round, with participation from Hatteras Venture Partners, Ballad Health, OSF Healthcare, Rex Health Ventures, and several other healthcare investors. The Durham, North Carolina-based medical device company's LifeFlow products are currently used by more than 500 hospitals and EMS agencies across the US to deliver fluids and blood quickly to patients experiencing sepsis, hemorrhagic shock, and other life-threatening conditions. Nearly 80,000 patients have been treated using LifeFlow technology. The funding will support commercial expansion and the launch of an enhanced LifeFlow infuser, planned for 2027. Founded in 2013, 410 Medical received FDA clearance for LifeFlow in 2016.
