Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a product owner or similar role, with at least 2 years focused on data platforms or data products.
  • Strong command of agile methodologies, especially in data platform or data-as-a-product environments.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to influence and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, engineering and analytics teams to define and prioritize the data platform roadmap aligned with the enterprise data strategy.
  • Foster close relationships with internal data consumers and business stakeholders to validate platform features, usability, and performance expectations.
  • Own the agile product delivery lifecycle, leading or participating in all agile ceremonies common to the product owner role (sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint demo, etc)
  • Prioritize data platform features and manage the product backlog.
  • Coordinate between stakeholders and the product engineering team to refine user stories and guide delivery.
  • Plan incremental releases and implement delivery plans based on a prioritized product backlog.
  • Manage product backlogs, including user story creation, mapping, and feature breakdown.
  • Prioritize user feedback and make ongoing adjustments to improve platform functionality and user experience.
  • Participate in and coordinate UAT testing for data platform features to ensure readiness and quality.
  • Champion agile product management practices and foster a data-driven culture across the organization.
  • Lead change management initiatives related to data platform adoption when introducing new data tools, including training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Participate in strategic planning and manage the roadmap for the data platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and evolving stakeholder needs.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as adoption rates, stakeholder satisfaction and platform uptime.
  • Partner with risk and compliance teams to ensure data platform features support regulatory reporting, audit readiness, and data privacy requirements
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the mortgage, insurance, or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data architecture concepts, data vault architecture, data warehouses, and modern data stack technologies such as Snowflake, and Power BI are highly desirable.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
