  • BA/BS in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Nuclear, Manufacturing) required; Master’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in engineering and PLM of complex multi-domain product data (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • 5+ years of proven direct product configuration management experience (Product structure, parts, drawings and requirements management)
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated environment (aerospace, medical devices, nuclear, etc.)
  • Experience with CAD (CATIA V5/V6/3DX/NX), requirements management (IBM DOORS, Jama) and software code management (git, Subversion, Bitbucket)
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and/or data management toolsets for configuration management of complex products
  • Experience with PLM integrations to downstream systems such as ERP and MES systems
  • A detailed understanding of aircraft configuration principles including reconciliation between OEM and vendor design/manufacturing systems
  • Experience with project management, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – you must have an ability to synthesize complex quantitative data into clear decision statements
  • Deep knowledge of data management solutions as they relate to electronically stored documents, 3D models, substantiation and design data packages
  • Operational experience managing company release, agency record, and controlled data (i.e FAA, ITAR, EAR)
  • Highly collaborative and works well both independently and with a team
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various engineering subject areas to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft
  • Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts, principles and practices especially in the aerospace industry
  • Lead the architecture design and deployment of Dassault 3DX Platform (CATIA, ENOVIA, DELMIA) to ensure seamless integration across Product Development Lifecycle
  • Integrate 3DX Platform with other existing Enterprise Software (SAP, MES, etc)
  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement through the implementation of PLM solutions. Drive efficiency and scalability across the product lifecycle
  • Collaborate across multiple teams within Supernal (Hardware & Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to gather requirements to develop PLM Solutions
  • Assist in demoing features to 3DX users and stakeholders to spread awareness and understanding of the tool
  • Provide documentation, training, and guidance to teams on best PLM practices (ex. Part Release, As-Designed vs As-Installed, Document Management)
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure all PLM solutions comply with industry standards (such as AS9100) and maintain data security protocols across the product lifecycle
  • Drive continuous improvement and scalability of Supernal’s 3DX Platform by serving as main point of contact between Supernal and Dassault
  • Preferred experience utilizing EKL to develop Customizations, Macros within 3DX to improve user experience
  • May require up to 10% of international or domestic travel
