Requirements
  • A minimum of a Master's degree in Biotechnology or a closely related field is required
  • Biotechnology lab experience is required
  • A history of effective teaching, including experience using active learning techniques is required
Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Program Lead to ensure consistent course delivery
  • Align lecture content and lab activities, scientific skills development, and assessment of the curriculum across all lecture and lab sections
  • Use the College's learning management system, Canvas, to post syllabus, assignments, grades and other materials to communicate with students
  • Teach courses including, but not limited to, Introduction to Biotechnology and the associated laboratory
  • Work with the biotechnology lab manager to ensure all materials for the laboratory are prepared
Desired Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in Biotechnology or a closely related field is preferred
  • Experience with Canvas LMS is a plus
  • Prior teaching experience
