Requirements
  • Typically 7+ years of repeated success across a variety of software development projects.
  • Successfully lead high-stakes consulting engagements from discovery through production.
  • Build high-quality, maintainable software collaboratively and incrementally using approaches tailored to client needs.
  • Write production-quality code using languages and frameworks including Java, C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Go, Ruby, Scala, R, and SQL.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools for scaffolding, refactoring, debugging, test generation, and documentation.
  • Build or integrate artificial intelligence and machine-learning-powered features, such as recommendation engines, natural language processing models, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
  • Use context-appropriate automated testing to inform software design and identify defects.
  • Debug and refactor pre-existing code to improve it incrementally.
  • Collaborate using Git, macOS/Linux, and continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Address architecture-level concerns involving scalability, security, reliability, and performance.
  • Bring together people from different functions and perspectives to encourage idea sharing, collaboration, and problem solving.
  • Make thoughtful recommendations and set direction in ambiguous situations.
  • Mentor colleagues and share knowledge.
  • Seek out feedback and provide effective feedback.
  • Communicate empathetically with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Collaboratively lead stakeholders in balancing technical considerations with product and user needs.
Responsibilities
  • Make immediate contributions to projects and rapidly build trust with clients.
  • Balance technology choices pragmatically while delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Lead architecture and software design discussions.
  • Collaborate on systems covering the full machine-learning lifecycle, from data ingestion and preprocessing through model deployment, integration, and performance monitoring.
  • Generate solutions to technical and non-technical challenges with team members and clients.
  • Lead or initiate formal feedback conversations with teams and clients through retrospectives.
  • Clearly articulate and document outcomes and drive action items forward.
  • Contribute to team and company culture by modeling organizational values.
  • Ensure the team has a healthy, prioritized, and estimated backlog.
  • Manage high-level project roadmaps as team lead for large engagements.
  • Maintain relationships with client technical leaders.
  • Conduct regular client syncs to provide status updates, identify and evaluate risks, and present potential solutions.
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve blockers to team progress.
  • Contribute to the company by mentoring, leading or designing internal and client workshops, representing the company in the technology community, or supporting hiring processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in platform engineering, including reusable software foundations, internal developer platforms, and infrastructure used by other teams.
  • Data engineering experience, including use of Databricks for data processing and analytics.
  • Experience delivering production agentic systems, including retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, vector search, and agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, and n8n.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and DevOps.
  • Experience with machine-learning operations.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code.
