Lucid is seeking a dynamic and high performing Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll Team. Our team handles payroll for numerous U.S. states along with our Amsterdam and Melbourne international offices. We are looking for someone who can effectively and efficiently work in multiple systems and navigate many deadlines. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager and working closely with the Accounting & People Operations teams, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate data is maintained in our payroll systems through input and system integrations. During the semi-monthly U.S. payroll and monthly international payroll processes, the Payroll Specialist will assist with payroll preparation and participate in our detailed review. Responsibilities:
- Maintain current and accurate employment, pay and benefit information in U.S. and International payroll systems
- Verify and enter pay and deduction changes with efficiency
- Manage collection and approval of hours for payroll processing
- Participate in payroll reviews
- Record fringe benefits in payroll and international benefit filings
- Coordinate with accounting team on payroll items
- Perform employment verifications
- Participate in Financial and 401(k) audits
- Perform quarterly audits of W-2s and payroll tax payments
- Maintain all daily, ongoing, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Perform standard audit checks and reconciliations
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed
- Calculate and input pay adjustments for varying types of leave
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience reconciling data and comfortable managing and reviewing high volume of data
- Knowledge of payroll concepts
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Passion for working with emerging technologies with an ability to understand new technical concepts
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter with zeal for taking ownership
- Out-of-the box and strategic thinker who operates with extreme attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, with little direction
- Motivation for excellence and exceeding expectations
