Requirements

  • Project Management Accreditation is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Provides overall leadership and direction for all Special Programs across the account including complex fit-ups, consolidations, new asset onboarding, account expansion, overseeing multiple complex, high-risk, and high-visibility initiatives.
  • Oversees the Program Manager(s) accountable for day-to-day program and project execution.
  • Establishes and maintains a consistent and organized program management approach, including governance, reporting, templates, and cadence across all Special Programs.
  • Ensures programs and projects are delivered within approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards, in accordance with BGIS and client procedural guidelines.
  • Accountable for integrated program planning, sequencing, and prioritization across initiatives.
  • Acts as the senior-facing lead for Special Programs, managing senior client stakeholders and executive concerned parties.
  • Leads and reviews executive-level reporting, briefings, presentations, and formal correspondence related to program performance, risks, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Serves as the primary escalation point for significant risks, issues, and decisions impacting Special Programs.
  • Builds and sustains strong executive relationships, positioning BGIS as a trusted advisor.
  • Supports account leadership in strategic discussions, planning, and program-related decision-making.
  • Defines and enforces program governance structures, including: Program plans and master schedules, RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions), Financial controls and forecasting, Performance metrics and KPIs
  • Reviews and validates program status, financials, and dashboards prior to client or executive distribution.
  • Ensures appropriate systems, tools, and reporting mechanisms are used consistently across programs.
  • Ensures compliance with legislative requirements, client standards, and BGIS processes.
  • Works in concert with other workstream leads (e.g., Facilities, Workplace Solutions, Real Estate, IT, Finance) to ensure alignment and integration across programs within the account
  • Facilitates coordination across teams to proactively manage dependencies, risks, and interrelated deliverables.
  • Ensures systemic issues, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement are identified and addressed across programs.
  • Supports integrated planning and execution across multiple delivery partners and vendors.
  • Leads or contributes to feasibility assessments, business cases, and program strategies for Special Programs.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance delivery efficiency, consistency, and client value through improved processes and tools.
  • Actively seeks opportunities for additional services and program extensions that provide mutual value to the client and BGIS.
  • Incorporates sustainability, risk mitigation, and long-term value considerations into program strategy and delivery.
  • Provides oversight of program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Reviews and validates estimating, forecasting, change management, and cost control strategies.
  • Ensures procurement strategies align with program objectives and that vendors adhere to contractual obligations.
  • Supports account financial objectives and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrates and reinforces a mindset that treats safety as paramount.
  • Ensures program teams adhere to BGIS safety, environmental, and risk management practices.
  • Provides leadership in identifying and mitigating health, safety, environmental, and reputational risks associated with Special Programs.
