Analog Devices is continuing to grow the software, systems, and services capabilities to support customer projects on scale. The Customer Applications Engineering role is key to this initiative and will be responsible for customer productivity for commercial technical support engagements. The Customer Applications Engineering team will work with customers, internal applications engineering teams, and design teams globally and to get questions answered for commercial support customers in a timely manner. The Customer Applications Engineer will ensure customer productivity by understanding the customer, their environment & project objectives/timelines and will be one of a small number of ADI personnel to interact directly with the customer related to their support needs. The metrics for success for this role will be customer retention contract renewal, customer productivity (as measured by an independent survey) and adherence to or modification of ADI internal systems to have a sustained world-class support experience for ADI commercial support customers. An ideal candidate will have experience working directly in customer facing technical roles, have product design or development experience and expertise with at least one of ADI’s end markets including automotive, industrial, digital healthcare, consumer electronics, communications or aerospace and defense,have worked in a world-class support organization understanding processes, procedures and tooling to provide quality support and have a desire to execute build a team based on revenue growth.
This role will be customer and ADI sales/FAE facing with a focus on customer productivity and regular interactions with commercial support customers.
This role will work directly with commercial support customers, internal design teams, and external subcontractors to achieve timely, complete answers to questions.
Successful candidates will have experience in systems and software, a customer suitable demeanor, the ability to use standard ADI internal systems (i.e. Jira, MSD) and a capability to learn and engage across ADI.
An individual contributor role, there is a path to team management depending on candidate and revenue growth.

8+ years of experience in embedded systems including embedded C/C++, embedded Linux and real-time operating systems.
Familiarity with hardware board design, FPGA design and other hardware-oriented testing tools preferred.
Familiarity with Analog Devices hardware and software platforms preferred.
Experienced Applications Engineering, Systems Engineering, Field Application Engineering background preferred.
Strong communication & collaboration skills
Proven engagement with field sales, customers, partners, and sub-contractors
Proven ability to build and develop teams
BS EE, CE or CS technical background required.
