Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, along with acceptance into a Colorado Christian University graduate program.
  • Knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association rules and regulations and the ability to pass the National Collegiate Athletic Association coaching test are required.
  • The candidate must be able to integrate Christian faith into coaching.
  • The candidate must be willing to minister to people outside the team through soccer.
  • The candidate must have knowledge of soccer and be able to communicate that knowledge effectively to student-athletes.
  • The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact appropriately with college student-athletes.
  • The candidate must be able to drive 15-passenger vans.
  • The candidate must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and be able to communicate personal faith and apply biblical principles in the workplace.
  • The candidate must regularly attend and be meaningfully involved in a Bible-believing evangelical local church and be knowledgeable about the Bible.
  • The candidate must be a traditional evangelical Christian whose lifestyle is compatible with Colorado Christian University's Statement of Faith and Strategic Priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to Colorado Christian University's Christ-centered educational mission as a supporting member of a Christ-centered athletic team.
  • Assist the coaching staff in Christian mentoring and discipleship of soccer athletes.
  • Assist the coaching staff with practices.
  • Assist the coaching staff with home and away contests.
  • Assist with other program activities determined by the Head Coach, including recruiting, fundraising, and travel.
  • Assist the Director of Athletics with additional assigned responsibilities.
  • Work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, and travel locally and regionally as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two to four years of collegiate-level coaching or playing experience at the National Collegiate Athletic Association level is preferred.
  • Experience integrating discipleship and evangelism into an athletic program is desired.
  • Experience in a similar private Christian institution is desirable.
