Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of management experience in healthcare business operations is required.
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership and management abilities are required.
  • Previous successful project management and/or system implementation experience is required.
  • The ability to speak, read, write, and understand English is required.
  • Good working computer skills with Microsoft Office suite, Windows, and similar professional software are required.
  • The ability to learn new software systems quickly is required.
  • The ability to work independently, organize effectively, manage concurrent tasks and assignments, and lead others in a complex environment is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight of Senior Living departments, including quality and clinical excellence, program development and occupancy, and financial performance.
  • Establish and ensure implementation of standardized policies and procedures that comply with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, credentialing standards, Conditions of Participation, and other regulatory standards.
  • Develop strategies with leadership to meet goals and objectives, grow and sustain business models, establish core Key Performance Indicators, and ensure they are achieved.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal National Church Residences divisions and external stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage annual operating budgets, occupancy, revenues, and operating expenses, and participate in financial and operations meetings.
  • Maintain compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, accreditation, licensure, insurance, and other applicable requirements.
  • Direct or oversee hiring, training, development, supervision, evaluation, and overall performance of director- and manager-level Senior Living positions.
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis to clinical business leaders to improve staffing, scheduling, hiring, and retention.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and enforce the standard operational policy development process.
  • Serve as a liaison among internal staff, clinical staff, and external providers using advanced healthcare operations knowledge.
  • Interpret and analyze financial reports with Finance to identify cost trends and improvement opportunities, manage spending, and forecast budgets and growth.
  • Collaborate with IT to align the electronic medical record, IT vision, strategy, priorities, best practices, and services with operational goals.
  • Review facility and agency contracts for organizational consistency and recommend approval or modification to the Senior Vice President.
  • Lead multiple small initiatives or a major project from inception through delivery.
  • Participate in meetings and committees, develop materials and presentations, and prepare summary reports for senior leadership.
  • Ensure care is provided with respect and dignity and report resident or family complaints, abuse allegations, misappropriation, and compliance concerns.
  • Complete annual education requirements, including Compliance, Privacy, Security, and HIPAA training, and follow the organizational Code of Conduct.
