What we are looking for:

We are looking for an innovative and mission-driven Vice President of Engineering to play a pivotal role in building the most critical engineering solutions for our business growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, The VP of Engineering will work with other product-focused departments to understand Acqueon’s business strategy and work together to oversee the planning, development, execution, and continuous innovation of our cloud-based platforms. This includes key upcoming projects like improvements to our Customer Data Platform as well as improvements to the platform interface.

In addition to responsibilities related to overseeing engineering functions, we are looking for candidates with experience leading teams of engineers and architects to ensure completion of projects as well as contribute to their ongoing professional and technical development. The ideal candidate in this role is a team player and coach who can proactively contribute to the technical strategies for applications and systems while promoting an understanding of the technology and business roadmap.

As a VP of Engineering in Acqueon you will….

• Lead a team of strong developers and architects, working on large-scale, complex, and cutting-edge systems and ensure that the team optimizes codes, while also contributing to business goals and product strategies.
• Plan and implement the vision, technology roadmap, and system developments in accordance with the business roadmap.
• Operate with scale and speed, amidst flux in the fast-paced environment and evaluate performances regularly.
• Manage the development and delivery of complex features from design to production according to product requirements.
• Work closely with Engineering Leaders, Managers, Product Management, Business Development, and Operation teams and enable them by providing scalable and high-quality technology solutions.
• Ensure that risks and issues are identified and managed closely while driving all stakeholders to deliver on time and to the required quality standards.
• Build a strong development team that can work independently as well as collaborate with other international R&D teams.
• Review Architecture and design technically robust, flexible, and scalable solutions.

As a VP of Engineering in Acqueon you will need….

• An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS in any stream – Computer Science/IT preferred.
• 10 to 15+ years of experience in building and managing highly skilled development teams, and the ability to lead, coach and influence them.
• Deep understanding in React, SQL/NoSQL database, Elastic search,Java, Python, Apache, CDP platforms, and AWS architecture.
• Experience in developing scalable, concurrent, low-latency, and fault tolerant systems.
• Strong track record of leading and managing the delivery of software development projects, meeting key milestones, and overcoming challenges.
• Previous experience in working with other international R&D teams, product management, and support teams.
• Proven knowledge in both architecture and implementation-level software design of high-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to manage, track, and identify risks as well as bottlenecks and challenges ahead of time and work proactively to solve them.
• Willingness to work in a fast paced, and driven team in a context-switching environment.
• Expertise in highly transactional, large relational, and complex systems.
• Strong object oriented design skills and an uncanny ability to design intuitive modules and class-level interfaces.
• Superior management skills to manage multi-engineer projects and experience in delivering high quality projects on time.
• Strong technical competence with a track record of individual technical accomplishments.
• Ability and desire to work onsite in Acqueon’s Dallas location.
