Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead projects using several cutting-edge model systems including TAM depletion, TAM reprogramming, and immune competent models of malignancy. Analyze data generated from these studies and prepare manuscript drafts and present at national conferences.
  • Train in transcriptomics, flow cytometry, adoptive transfer biology, and pre-clinical development and preparation of IND enabling documents. Outcomes will lead to a publishable manuscript.
  • Perform immunology techniques including ELISAs, flow-based cytokine determination, cellular proliferation, and cytotoxicity assays, conduct collaborative work on multi-institutional grants.
  • Perform other essential duties as requested, including maintaining animal colonies, collaborating with DLAR to provide the best animal care, updating IACUC and IBC protocols, and ordering supplies for the laboratory.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in immunology, immunotherapy, tumor micro-environment, and cancer biology
  • Familiarity with handling large data sets to investigate immune pathways dysregulated in glioblastoma and immunotherapy-resistant tumors
