Requirements
- An active and unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state is required.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required.
- Current intravenous therapy certification is required.
- Availability to work overtime as needed is required.
- Availability to work weekends, including Saturdays and/or Sundays, as needed is required.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis is required.
- The role requires the ability to sit or stand intermittently for an 8- to 12-hour shift.
- The role requires the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- The role requires the ability to function independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including Joint Commission accreditation requirements, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
- Perform nursing tasks with clinical competency as a Licensed Practical Nurse, including correctly administering medications, setting up sterile fields, and disinfecting and sterilizing equipment.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner according to company standards.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, Medical Assistants, Patient Coordinators, and other team members about daily clinical and surgical schedules, and anticipate needs appropriately.
- Document clinical and surgical chart notes accurately and appropriately.
- Provide the highest level of patient care and patient service.
- Follow policies and procedures consistently to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Support physicians’ overall patient retention by providing high-quality patient care and patient experience.
- Assist with all aspects of a clinical and surgical environment.
- Complete other projects and duties and assume additional responsibilities as determined by clinical leadership members.
