- A Bachelor of Science degree.
- Approximately 7–8 years of experience in ETL development using Informatica 9.1/9.5, including detailed knowledge of the tool's data-transformation features.
- Experience with data warehousing and data migration projects involving large-scale data transformation, along with knowledge of ETL development procedures.
- Knowledge of data-profiling techniques for data analysis using SQL and an ETL tool.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Knowledge of database structures and systems, with proficiency in writing complex SQL routines.
- Experience tuning the performance of ETL mappings.
- Knowledge of ETL schedulers and basic Unix shell scripting.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and quality processes for data-integration projects, including preparing test plans, test cases, and test scripts and conducting reviews.
- Develop ETL routines with Informatica 9.1/9.5.
- Develop test cases for ETL mappings and prepare test scripts aligned with data-integration and data-transformation requirements.
- Write SQL queries against source and target systems to ensure data validation and data reconciliation.
- Develop ETL routines for online transaction processing and business intelligence systems, including mappings for facts and slowly changing dimension types 1 and 2.
- Profile data using tools and SQL queries to identify data that does not conform to business rules or database integrity requirements.
- Schedule ETL jobs using schedulers and scripts to ensure the correct data-flow sequence.
- Tune mapping performance to meet batch-load timings.
- Understand data-integration and data-transformation requirements defined by business requirements or the data architect and convert them into Informatica ETL routines.
- Check mapping accuracy by reconciling source systems, target systems, and rejected records.
- Provide guidance to junior team members.
