Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • The ability to obtain, maintain, or transfer a U.S. Department of Defense Top-Secret clearance with the ability to be read-on for Fort Leavenworth Regional Simulation Center SCIF.
  • A high school diploma and six years of applicable experience, or a Bachelor's degree with two years of experience.
  • A minimum of one year of general helpdesk, system engineering, or administration experience.
  • Security Plus certification is required at the time of employment.
  • Candidates must be able to travel up to 30 percent for Work For Experience exercises.
Responsibilities
  • Perform an operational analysis of each Army exercise concept to create, maintain, and optimize a simulation-AMCS-services architecture best suited to training objectives and customer requirements.
  • Test and distribute client computer images required for operating models and simulations, AMCS, and collaborative services during MCTP exercises.
  • Implement the full WARSIM and Joint Lands Component Constructive Training Capability simulation life cycle, including hardware and software installation; software patching; software configuration, administration, fault detection, and fault isolation; and process optimization.
  • During the Warfighters’ Exercise, map data routes according to the simulation plan and deliver products through multiple JLCCTC, security boundary, and communications systems to stimulate training audiences’ tactical systems and staff.
  • Monitor and adjust system linkages and performance during exercises; coordinate the analysis, adjudication, and correction of hardware and software problems.
  • Identify shortfalls in Government-provided software and installation components and develop remedies, furnishing analysis results and recommendations to the customer.
  • Develop command line operating system scripts and build software routines to improve and simplify repetitive technical functions and procedures.
  • Perform vulnerability and security scans on system hardware and software, and report results to system software developers and information assurance managers.
  • Section lead for the intelligence simulations support team, coordinating with the FLST manager on personnel, exercise support, and contract fulfillment.
  • Attend all required meetings relating to intelligence simulation support for MCTP WFXs, OREs, Verification Exercises, CPXs, and serve as primary point of contact for internal management and customers.
  • Maintain internal documentation.
  • Act as contractor representative for hardware or software upgrades related to JLCCTC models and simulations maintenance and operations.
  • Prepare schedules and lead coordination efforts between FLST and TST sections, as required.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • An active DoD Top-Secret security clearance.
  • System engineering or administration experience with Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, and Active Directory.
  • Graduate degree.
  • Ability to diagnose Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 10, and Active Directory errors to isolate and correct software configuration or compatibility issues.
  • CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+ certification, Certified Ethical Hacker certification, Red Hat certification.
  • Knowledge of and firsthand experience with Army organizations and/or Army constructive models and simulations.
  • Experience with Army Mission Command Systems such as Command Post of the Future, Command Post Computing Environment, Battle Command Common Services, Tactical Server Infrastructure V1/V2.
  • Experience with SharePoint site administration.
  • Microsoft Office Suite operational proficiency including Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, and OneNote.
  • Prior experience with the Mission Command Training Program.
  • Prior experience with exercise simulation support for Warfighters’ Exercises.
