- The Registered Dietitian is the nutrition professional that develops and oversees the implementation of nutrition interventions/prescriptions for patients nutrition diagnosis.

- Uses Nutrition Care Process (NCP) ADIME-assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation for patient's nutritional assessment.
- Performs Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) and documenting clinical criteria to demonstrate patients with malnutrition.
- Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team regarding patients nutrition plan of care.
- Completes yearly department competency and other performance improvement projects as assigned.
- Uses Evidence Based Practice in patient care.
- Serves as a preceptor to dietetic interns.
