Position Summary
A Brief Overview:
As a member of the Data and Analytics organization, you will be responsible for managing and administering Google cloud services for enterprise cloud applications. You will provide support to data engineers and end users for the smooth operation of GCP cloud services. You will also work with enterprise security and cloud platform teams to ensure all enterprise policies and standards are met.
What you will do:
- Deploy and manage GCP resources and services used by the data engineering applications.
- Configure and support the cloud infrastructure need for state-of-the-art data pipelines for both batch and real-time streams to enable data collection, storage, processing, transformation, aggregation, and dissemination through heterogeneous channels.
- Review solution designs prior to deployments, to ensure best practices are followed and solutions are aligned with security policies and enterprise standards.
- Manage data traffic for workloads which includes capacity planning , cloud cost forecasting, manage quotas/ rate limits , monitor resource utilization , auto-scaling and benchmarking.
- Research new technology to support development for proof of concepts of batch/real-time data engineering solutions that leverage emerging technologies.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Identify and troubleshoot infrastructure and application deployment issues.
Required Qualifications
- Google Cloud Certified Cloud Engineer.
- Strong knowledge on GCP infrastructure ecosystem and how they fit together with 2+ years experience in managing compute, storage, networking, database, Security & IAM.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering as an administrator working with Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Google SDK, GCloud utility, Google CLI, Dataflow, Healthcare API, Service Account management and Secret Manager.
- 1+ years of experience in managing cloud workloads with emphasis on pipeline throughput , API response time
- 1+ years experience in building Infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Monitoring for observing applications and infrastructure performance. Knowledge of integrating third-party observability tools (like Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic)
- work well under minimal supervision and possess great planning and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
- Kubernetes cluster administration.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$92,700.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
