POSITION TITLE: Information Technology Supervisor

SALARY RANGE: $3,539.34 - $5,229.23 Bi-weekly / $92,022.84 - $135,959.98 Annually

REPORT TO: Manager, Information Systems

LOCATION: San Leandro, CA 

The Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) is one of 21 Regional Centers that are community-based, private non-profit corporations under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. RCEB provides intake, assessment, diagnosis, and coordinates community-based services for over 25,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for leading the agency’s day-to-day technical operations and support. Including the helpdesk ticketing system, data and voice network systems, server hardware and software, desktop hardware and software, account management, and other similar duties assigned.

1. Supervise the daily operations of the IT infrastructure and helpdesk
2. Providing high-level support and technical expertise to helpdesk staff
3. Monitor helpdesk tickets and perform necessary tasks to support the day-to-day operation of RCEB staff
4. Identify problematic areas and recommend strategic solutions
5. Work with vendors, technical staff, and management on projects that involve Information Technology
6. Implement and monitor Information Technology policies and procedures
7. Ensure all necessary updates and patches installed on hardware and software.
8. Mentor staff on information technology and RCEB systems
9. Oversee the maintenance of inventory control of equipment and submission of periodic filings as required
10. Perform other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor degree required. A degree in Computer Science or closely related field highly desirable.
2. Two years of Supervisory experience preferred or three years demonstrated progressive experience in IT at RCEB
3. Three years of experience in Help Desk support.
4. Three years of experience in data and voice network, including hardware and software.
5. Ability to identify and resolve network and server hardware and software problems and malfunctions.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
7. Valid CDL and reliable, insured transportation required.
8. Experience working within a social service organization preferred.
9. Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity and an ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations
10. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
