Requirements
- 7+ years in demand generation, growth marketing, or related fields
- Deep expertise in B2B SaaS startup environments with sales-led or hybrid go-to-market motions
- Have directly owned a pipeline number and hit it consistently
- Minimum 3+ years of people management experience
- Data-obsessed and love to measure everything, run experiments, and optimize conversion rates
- Knowledge of enterprise marketing best practices and a track record implementing strategies that attract executive-level buyers
- Strong written and verbal communication and ability to sell others on ideas
- Well-versed in PPC, SEM, SEO, email, and social media marketing best practices
- Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, Google Analytics, ABM, and business intelligence tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Own a marketing-sourced pipeline number and implement strategies to hit it each quarter; we measure the full funnel but focus on qualified opportunities to ensure marketing efforts drive company growth
- Manage the demand generation budget and allocate resources to achieve short- and long-term goals, optimizing for sustainable growth and ROI
- Oversee all current and future marketing channels, including paid media, email, events & experiences, webinars, SEO, and social
- Operate as a player-coach, managing one report and an agency, while directly driving programs; everyone on the team gets their hands dirty and loves doing so
- Develop smart, integrated campaigns targeting Gem's ICPs and personas
- Launch Gem's first-ever account-based marketing program
- Collaborate with Sales leaders on segment-level strategies that fuel pipeline and revenue growth across Gem's Enterprise and Commercial businesses
- Partner with Revenue Operations to optimize lead scoring, channel attribution, and performance reporting
- Implement a conversion rate optimization program that uses data and experimentation to improve outcomes across channels
- Regularly analyze and communicate marketing performance to your peers as well as executives in order to support your strategic recommendations
