Requirements
  • Seven to ten or more years of experience in complex solution selling involving infrastructure, energy services, distributed generation or microgrids, performance contracting, or large capital projects.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success selling to C-level stakeholders with multi-million-dollar bookings and margin attainment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional support and delivery teams.
  • Willingness to travel across Central and North Florida up to 50% for on-site customer meetings, executive workshops, and project walkthroughs with pursuit teams.
Responsibilities
  • Build trusted strategic relationships with C-level stakeholders and convert financial, operational, ESG, decarbonization, and risk drivers into actionable transformation roadmaps.
  • Design executive narratives that frame outcomes, risk transfer, financing, and governance for boards and elected officials.
  • Source and progress a pipeline across government, education, healthcare, and commercial or industrial verticals.
  • Lead deal strategy, pricing, risk governance, and approvals; forecast accurately; and achieve bookings, margin, cash, and recurring revenue targets.
  • Use Salesforce customer relationship management software to manage the pipeline, document account progress, track opportunities, and maintain data integrity throughout the sales cycle.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, deal stages, and forecast updates.
  • Follow the company's sales process and apply structured methodologies to progress deals and maximize win rates.
  • Keep management informed of account status, deal progress, and critical developments through regular updates and checkpoint reviews.
  • Escalate issues or opportunities requiring leadership support in a timely manner.
  • Shape offerings spanning performance contracting, design-build modernization, advisory and energy services, operations and maintenance or facility management, distributed generation and supply, and as-a-Service models with structured financing and lifecycle services.
  • Position digital outcomes and recurring value through OpenBlue analytics, measurement and verification, and exception-based operations.
  • Grow recurring service revenue by packaging performance guarantees, customer success, and lifecycle asset strategies.
  • Coach teams, remove roadblocks, and drive accountability across sales stages, technical reviews, and governance.
  • Convene and lead Project Development Engineers, Project Delivery Consultants, Performance Engineers, and Operations teams by setting scope, win themes, and solution strategy.
  • Align engineering, delivery, measurement and verification, and operations with customer outcomes while ensuring design for performance, constructability, and maintainability.
  • Partner with Marketing, Finance, Legal and Risk, and Delivery leaders to accelerate time-to-value and maintain cash discipline and margin integrity.
  • Present in customer meetings, executive briefings, and oral interviews.
  • Communicate complex solutions clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows, participate in professional organizations, and develop a strong network within related industry groups and associations.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master of Business Administration or related postgraduate studies or degree.
  • Public-sector selling experience with state, local, or education organizations in Florida.
  • Fluency in outcome-based commercial models such as performance guarantees, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Buildings-as-a-Service, Energy-as-a-Service, structured financing, and risk governance.
  • Certifications such as Certified Energy Manager, Professional Engineer, or Project Management Professional.

Johnson Controls has acquired Nantum AI, a New York-based developer of AI algorithms for building energy efficiency, to enhance its OpenBlue digital ecosystem. Ring Capital joins Enerin's Series A to decarbonise high-temperature industrial heat

Enerin, a Norwegian industrial heat pump technology company, has completed the third tranche of its Series A round, adding Paris-based Ring Capital to its investor consortium. The round includes Climentum Capital, The Footprint Firm, Johnson Controls, Move Energy, PSV Hafnium and Momentum. The company's HoegTemp system delivers thermal energy at temperatures up to 250°C, targeting the industrial heat segment responsible for over 20% of global CO2 emissions. Each installation avoids approximately 36,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent over its lifetime by replacing fossil-fuel boilers. Enerin is transitioning from development to serial production, with three active pilots and a recent contract with Roche. The funding will scale manufacturing operations and accelerate product development. CEO Arne Høeg said Ring Capital's involvement strengthens the company's ability to deploy solutions across Europe.

Insteel reports fastest revenue growth among building products stocks despite missing Q4 estimates

Insteel reported Q4 revenues of $159.9 million, up 23.3% year on year, but missed analysts' expectations by 1.3%. The steel wire reinforcing products manufacturer delivered mixed results, beating earnings per share estimates whilst falling short on revenue. Despite achieving the fastest revenue growth among the five commercial building products stocks tracked, Insteel recorded the weakest quarterly performance in the sector. The group collectively beat consensus revenue estimates by 1.2% and saw share prices rise 3.4% on average since earnings. Johnson Controls led the sector with revenues of $5.80 billion, up 6.8% year on year and exceeding expectations by 2.8%. Insteel's stock has risen 3.6% since reporting and currently trades at $34.90.

Johnson Controls to acquire Alloy Enterprises, boosting data center cooling efficiency by up to 35%

Johnson Controls has signed an agreement to acquire Alloy Enterprises, a Boston-based thermal management technology company, to strengthen its position in the data centre cooling market. Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2020, Alloy Enterprises specialises in advanced direct liquid cooling components that can improve thermal management efficiency by up to 35% and reduce pressure drop by up to 75%, resulting in lower overall cooling system energy use. The company's proprietary Stack Forging manufacturing process creates single-piece components with embedded microgeometries for maximum heat transfer. The acquisition complements Johnson Controls' existing thermal management portfolio and aligns with its strategy to deliver differentiated cooling solutions for AI-driven data centres. The transaction is expected to close in fiscal Q3, subject to regulatory approvals.
