We are looking for a high-performing developer advocate who is passionate about building and nurturing communities of SREs and Platform Engineers and is excited to work with founders of startups.
DigitalOcean seeks an accomplished Senior Developer Advocate to become integral to our Global Developer Relations division. Our Developer Advocates are pivotal conduits amongst our users, internal spheres such as product marketing, strategic partnerships, customer success, product development, and the broader developer ecosystem. The Developer Relations team operates at the nexus of community engagement and internal collaboration, propelling the uptake of DigitalOcean solutions while influencing product innovation and feature enhancement with actionable insights.
As a Senior Developer Advocate focusing on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), your primary responsibility is to elevate our product and service narratives to resonate with developers and businesses. This involves content creation, coding expertise, and proactive involvement in the developer community. You will lead initiatives designed to assist developers throughout their journey, utilizing engaging storytelling and detailed content that highlights the features and benefits of our platform.
Your focus will be driving growth for key products such as DigitalOcean Kubernetes and DigitalOcean Managed Kafka. The ideal candidate for this role is a technical expert and a leader adept at data-driven initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage complex projects with a degree of independence, coordinating with various teams within DigitalOcean as needed.
- Gain an understanding of SREs’ and Platform Engineers’ needs, challenges, and environments, aiming to inspire and introduce them to new concepts and possibilities.
- Advocate for using DigitalOcean’s products and services, promoting their integration within partnerships and the broader SRE and Platform Engineering community.
- Participate in discussions with product marketing, development, and design teams, providing insights to support product adoption and align with industry standards.
- Build and nurture relationships within the SRE and Platform Engineering community, creating opportunities for collaboration and mutual growth.
