Developer Advocate

- 3+ years of experience working directly with customers on technical engagements. (DevRel/Advocate, SA, Technical Sales, PM, PMM, Support experience are all relevant)
- Experience with a programming language - static, functional, or dynamic
- Working knowledge of a few modern data tools and frameworks like Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, Presto/Trino, Hive, DBT, Airflow, Parquet, Avro, ORC
- Familiarity with some cloud data services like EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, Glue, Dataproc, BigQuery, Databricks, HDInsight, Synapse
- Experience building, operating, or troubleshooting data engineering pipelines
- Comfortable with working independently to own and drive large programs and initiatives
- Excellent speaking skills with the ability to engage audiences large and small
- Excellent written communication that you can modulate between technical engineers and C-Level executives
- Build creative and engaging programs that grow our community and empower contributors to build more on open source
- Solve technical challenges hands on with customers and developers using modern data tools like Spark, Flink, Presto/Trino, Airflow, DBT, and more
- Through conferences, webinars, blogs, trainings, demos, establish yourself as a thought leader on a variety of data engineering topics
- Build technical solution templates and data architecture patterns for customers and help them accelerate their data journey with Onehouse and Apache Hudi
- Partner with PM and Eng to help set the roadmap and vision for the Onehouse product
- Experience with a Lakehouse technology including Apache Hudi or Delta Lake
- Experience leading and organizing large community activities
- Experience contributing to an open source project
