Underwriting Counsel

We are excited to announce a TN/AL Underwriting Counsel job opportunity at our Franklin office! The position will require an ability to display Underwriting and business acumen in approaching and resolving issues, primarily focused on providing customers and title and escrow personnel with timely answers to title underwriting and escrow issues impacting their various real estate transactions. 

THE ROLE IN BRIEF: 
A successful Underwriting Counsel must simultaneously provide top-level strategic Underwriting advice in a fast-moving environment, while also contributing significant business value to real estate transactional process. As such, the successful candidate must demonstrate a solid grounding in residential and commercial real estate transactions, title review, and title principles and practices. In addition, to be successful in this role the candidate should have well-developed analytical problem-solving abilities, excellent business sense and judgment, strong interpersonal and relationship development skills, and willingness to perform agency underwriting trainings. 

• Providing Underwriting Agency Support to Residential and Commercial Agents
• Perform and Close Commercial Transactions
• Agency Trainings - in-person and webinar

Licensed in TN.

Minimum of 2 years experience in claims or as an Underwriter.
