Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in a content role, ideally with a science background or with experience writing for a highly technical audience
  • Strong writing skills, a knack for making complex concepts simple, and the ability to edit and write according to brand guidelines
  • A results-oriented mindset with a portfolio of high-performing, fun content to prove it
  • Desire to get in the weeds on product knowledge and truly get to know our customers
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), Google Analytics, and basic knowledge of design tools like Figma and Photoshop
  • Motivation to be an active player and positive contributor on our team and across the broader business — asking questions and staying curious, communicating clearly, and living our Benchling company values
Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally with demand generation, social media, community, PR, strategy, events, and product marketing teams to create content that powers all our marketing efforts
  • Interview scientists and product experts across the company to produce detailed content about our products and how to use them
  • Manage editorial calendar of content for our blog and online community
  • Analyze content performance and web metrics and refine strategies to improve engagement and reach
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
