Requirements
  • High School diploma or General Education Diploma; college education is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain any preferred Security Officer license required.
  • Minimum of five years of law enforcement, security, military, public safety, or related-field experience.
  • Proven proficiency with security applications and analytics, preferably the Genetec Security System.
  • Ability to operate and navigate applications associated with the EZ Lobby Visitor Management System.
  • Current first responder experience or license is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Security Officer license in St. Louis City and St. Louis County.
  • Functional knowledge of the Incident Command System.
  • Proficiency in operating, navigating, and troubleshooting all aspects of an integrated security system.
  • Ability to navigate multiple software applications, systems, and databases concurrently.
  • Ability to continuously review and analyze real-time information regarding the physical security status of the facility and personnel.
  • Broad knowledge of best practices for security-related systems and issues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as an effective team member.
  • Ability to ensure that all display and data systems in the Global Security Operations Center are functioning properly.
  • Ability to work within the Incident Command System and build relationships with local law enforcement and first responders.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to build internal and external partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Business computer aptitude and the ability to navigate multiple software applications or databases concurrently.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Proven ability in conflict-resolution techniques.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, alternating shifts, weekends, and a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule.
  • Ability to use computers, handheld communication devices, and various security systems and devices.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Corporate Security Supervisor with maintaining and updating the security system database for credentialing employees, consultants, vendors, and third-party contractors, including creating identification badges, assigning access rights, and configuring internal and external groups.
  • Provide 24/7 security support to global offices integrated into the Genetec security system, including credentialing, access, alarms, analytics, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide support for global offices with security access issues as a Global Security Operations Center member with a rotating on-call status.
  • Respond to global access issues as part of a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Implement and create alarm controls for all company offices, including analytic and intrusion controls.
  • Assist senior security staff with the day-to-day operations of company facilities.
  • Assist the Corporate Security Director with supervising, managing, and evaluating contracted security personnel.
  • Assist with safety projects and provide education and guidance to contract security staff and global offices on system issues.
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex security system issues.
  • Conduct security audits and analyses and generate appropriate reports.
  • Communicate security concepts and information to contracted staff.
  • Manage, monitor, and regulate facility access for associates, contractors, visitors, and vendors through applicable security systems.
  • Continuously monitor the security system, including cameras, alarms, and personnel, to ensure system functionality.
  • Respond to and document incidents occurring on company property according to established procedures.
  • Examine and evaluate physical security conditions and risks and make recommendations, decisions, changes, or corrections for mitigation.
  • Assign and conduct patrols and identify safety and security concerns.
