Requirements
  • A four-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Three to six years of experience in structured problem-solving are required; Green Belt certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of structured problem-solving tools, including Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control, Statistical Process Control, Kaizen, Process Mapping, 5S, and Fishbone analysis, is required.
  • Proven strength in problem solving and advanced data and statistical analysis is required.
  • Project management skills, including scoping, developing problem statements, defining goals, and managing timelines, are required.
  • Strong training and mentoring skills focused on team member development and engagement are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, organizational, and presentation skills are required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours is required because most facilities operate 24/7.
  • Ability to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including mezzanine platforms, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and own continuous improvement for a Distribution Center functional area, such as Replenishment or Fulfillment.
  • Champion structured problem-solving strategies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and 8 Step, and oversee program execution.
  • Mentor, influence, and coach leaders and project teams to support successful deployment of initiatives and alignment with continuous-improvement principles, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Partner with building leaders to identify, prioritize, and lead change initiatives addressing lead-time, quality, and cost improvements.
  • Lead the implementation and sustainment of structured problem-solving and process optimization initiatives, focusing on key performance indicators.
