Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • Full professional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility to obtain registration.
  • A current Queensland Driver’s Licence and access to a personal car with comprehensive insurance.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and manage time while working with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive activities of daily living and functional assessments to evaluate an individual’s capacity across personal care, domestic tasks, and community participation.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations for assistive technology, home modifications, and support services to enhance independence and safety.
  • Develop grading programs to promote independence.
  • Translate assessment findings into clear, high-quality reports with strong clinical justification.
  • Manage a structured caseload with support from Rehabilitation Assistants.
  • Support individuals with injuries or health conditions to achieve optimal functional independence and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
  • Liaise with employers, insurers, medical professionals, and stakeholders to ensure holistic and aligned rehabilitation plans.
  • Work across Workers Compensation, CTP, Life Insurance, Comcare, and DVA schemes.
