Trade Operations Analyst
The work location for this role is hybrid out of our Denver, CO office.
SUMMARY
Responsible for confirming Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) trade transactions, balancing client MBS trade positions, resolving data issues, conducting data research. Provides support for Optimal Blue’s Secondary Services (OBSS), CompassPoint and Resitrader loan trading platform. Performs reporting and data extraction duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure accuracy of MBS trades executed by the trading desk on clients’ behalf.
- Complete weekly reconciliation of open positions with records of client broker/dealers.
- Prepare daily (confirms) and weekly (balancing) summaries.
- Monitors Trade Check Report and resolve any issues.
- Process and distribute daily par rates and rate sheet to the appropriate channels.
- Ensure accurate and timely data and trade flow through Resitrader platform.
- Manage Resitrader account profiles and access.
- Respond to general questions/issues associated with the Resitrader platform as well as client inquiries and balancing questions.
- Assist onboarding new clients to the Resitrader platform.
- Responsible for creating and distributing monthly Resitrader reporting.
- Identify and recommend improvements to policies and procedures related to reporting process.
- Make process and/or system improvement recommendations to assist the business unit in achieving its goals and objectives.
- Identify and address discrepancies with traders and counterparties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. · Requires 0 – 1+ years of relevant work experience.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient written and oral communication skill in dealing with employees and external customers/clients
- Ability to learn and comprehend the mortgage origination process, mortgage securities and markets through on-the-job training
- Strong quantitative skills and solid grounding in basic mathematical and statistical concepts · Experience with Excel, R studio and/or SQL is a definite plus
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills

The estimated base salary range for this role in the United States is $19.20 - $28.80 per hour. For compliance with local legislation, and to provide greater transparency to applicants, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired hiring location or whether the position is remote. The posted range is an estimate and reflects many factors which are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, based upon geographic location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant factors.
