Responsibilities
  • Advise Fraternity and Sorority Life governance organizations.
  • Supervise all Fraternity and Sorority Life programs.
  • Develop and implement Fraternity and Sorority Life policy.
  • Administer the Fraternity and Sorority Life Achievement Certification Program.
  • Coordinate Fraternity and Sorority Life recruitment and new member education initiatives.
  • Consult with and provide coaching to Fraternity and Sorority Life chapters.
  • Act as a liaison between the university and Fraternity and Sorority Life chapter headquarters offices.
  • Administer Fraternity and Sorority Life judicial procedures.
  • Coordinate risk management and compliance initiatives for the Fraternity and Sorority Life community.
  • Lead the Fraternity and Sorority Life support team.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and expenditures.
  • Provide guidance and best practices for connecting student involvement experiences with learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Awards Team.
  • Assist in coordinating nomination and judging processes and the Leadership Awards Ceremony.
  • Assist in managing the Pioneer Involvement Center, including student organization management and compliance, PioneerLink management, university-wide leadership programming, and management of Pioneer Involvement Center spaces and student employees.
  • Support a collaborative and comprehensive student development program including student activities, student leadership development, Fraternity and Sorority Life, shared student governance, and campus-wide student programming.
  • Advise student governance and other assigned student organizations.
  • Assist with coordinating and planning major Markee Pioneer Student Center and university events such as Welcome Weekend and Homecoming.
  • Provide guidance and advisement to student groups and student leaders regarding the planning and development of programs that further the university's mission.
  • Apply risk management practices related to safety and liability issues and work with the campus risk management officer to ensure campus safety policies are created and enforced.
  • Serve as a Campus Security Authority under the Clery Act.
  • Participate in assessment initiatives to provide best practices and services to students.
  • Work regularly outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Support other assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Follow applicable safety rules and regulations, including necessary training and drills.
