Requirements
  • Proficiency with Windows operating system administration, including Device Manager, network and Internet Protocol configuration, SFTP file transfer, command-line utilities, structured software test procedures, and error logs.
  • Basic familiarity with networking concepts, including IP addressing and Ethernet configuration.
  • Ability to operate electrical safety test equipment such as HiPot testers, ground bond testers, and leakage current testers, and interpret numeric results against pass/fail criteria.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment compliant with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.
  • A high school diploma and 3-5 years of hands-on software-driven test systems work experience, or an Associate degree with technical emphasis and at least 2 years of such experience, or a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field with 1 year of software-driven test systems experience.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, nonconformance reports, and line clearance procedures.
  • English language proficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test medical robotic systems and subassemblies according to established Manufacturing Process Instructions, drawings, and schematics.
  • Execute detailed electronic test procedures, record pass/fail results and numeric measurements against defined tolerances, and document them in Device History Records.
  • Run diagnostic software and test scripts such as MTS Runner and Nova to validate system function and troubleshoot failed steps.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Windows-based test systems, including COM ports, static IP addresses, USB security policies, and SFTP file transfers using WinSCP.
  • Edit XML configuration files and re-sign them using command-line utilities during system setup.
  • Operate electrical safety test equipment and follow high-voltage safety protocols.
  • Monitor subsystem status, such as UPS battery charge, using SNMP and MIB browser tools during extended test cycles.
  • Document test results, error codes, and engineering justifications in electronic Device History Records.
  • Perform final mechanical assembly steps using basic hand tools.
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot failures, escalate unresolved issues, and support root cause analysis for nonconformances.
  • Package medical subassemblies and systems according to established Manufacturing Process Instructions and drawings.
  • Install and configure hardware components, including robotic arms, sensors, motors, programmable logic controllers, relays, circuit boards, and cables.
  • Install and configure software components, including programming and testing robotic movements and functions.
  • Perform system testing and work with engineers to troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain accurate system configuration, test-result, and troubleshooting records in Device History Records while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area as part of line clearance and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Meet standard cycle-time and quality requirements.
  • Perform other reasonable assembly, rework, or test duties as required.
  • Work the assigned Monday-through-Thursday shift, with either a 5:00 AM-3:30 PM or 3:00 PM-2:00 AM schedule, and stay overtime when required.

Noah Medical announces galaxy(tm) II. 11th, August 2026 2 mins read Noah Medical has announced the commercial launch of the Galaxy II software, the next evolution of the company's robotic-assisted bronchoscopy (RAB) platform. The Galaxy II software gives physicians imaging flexibility and procedural control to take on their most complex cases with confidence, advancing what bronchoscopy can deliver across every dimension of the procedure. Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death worldwide, and survival depends heavily on early diagnosis, making the ability to accurately biopsy small, hard-to-reach lung lesions one of the most consequential steps in a patient's path to treatment. At the center of the system is Dual-Mode Imaging, which lets physicians move seamlessly between Galaxy's High- Definition Digital Tomosynthesis (HD-DT) and Cone-Beam CT (CBCT) at any point in a procedure. HD-DT delivers efficiently and effectively across the vast majority of cases at a fraction of the radiation dose, while CBCT is available at the moment a case calls for more. The result puts the imaging decision where it belongs, in the physician's hands. "Galaxy II software puts physicians in control of their imaging strategy for every procedure," said Jian Zhang, founder and CEO of Noah Medical. "By bringing HD-DT, CBCT, and advanced robotic control together in one platform using the Galaxy II software, we let physicians choose what each case requires, enabling them to adapt to each patient's anatomy and reduce radiation exposure while maximizing procedural efficiency." Accurately reaching and sampling small pulmonary lesions remains difficult due to two persistent challenges: CT-to-Body Divergence, where the preoperative CT no longer matches the patient's anatomy during the procedure, and Tool-Tissue Divergence, where a biopsy tool drifts from its intended path even when the catheter is well positioned. Galaxy II software addresses both by uniting navigation, imaging, and real-time confirmation of the lesion and tool in a single platform. "The Galaxy System's unique ability to correct for tool-tissue divergence in real time drives its high diagnostic yield, giving physicians confidence that their biopsy tool is exactly where they intend it," said Dr. Francisco Almeida, Interventional Pulmonologist at City of Hope(R) Cancer Center Atlanta. Noah Medical has launched Galaxy II software for its robotic-assisted bronchoscopy platform. The system features Dual-Mode Imaging, allowing physicians to switch between High-Definition Digital Tomosynthesis and Cone-Beam CT during procedures. The technology addresses challenges in biopsying small lung lesions by combining navigation, imaging, and real-time confirmation in one platform.
