Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent HRIS work experience.
  • Two years of experience configuring and maintaining business processes, including creating condition rules.
  • Basic knowledge of Workday security and general knowledge of Workday integration concepts.
  • Experience with the Workday request framework, business processes, custom object forms, and questionnaires.
  • Experience creating Workday custom objects.
  • Experience writing Workday reports.
  • Functional knowledge of HR and Finance core business processes and a strong background in systems analysis and support.
  • Knowledge of HCM and Finance concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex integration issues effectively.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies to solve business challenges and implement creative solutions to optimize Workday functionality.
  • Ability to handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional manner with an emphasis on service quality.
  • Experience working in cross-functional project teams and handling multiple integrations and applications simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance Workday to meet changing business requirements and improve efficiency and service.
  • Prepare for and support twice-annual Workday system upgrades, releases, and annual processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve end-user, business process, security, integration, and other system issues.
  • Assist with leading defined-scope projects and new functionality implementations by defining implementation requirements and completing projects accurately, efficiently, and timely.
  • Assist with testing Workday semi-annual releases, including developing test plans and supporting documentation such as scripts.
  • Review release notes and assess new features and their impacts on business processes and functionality.
  • Assist with coordinating project activities, including prototyping, testing, communication, and rollout with University departments.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve end-user problems and Workday-related systems issues through configuration analysis, process improvement, data loading, data integrity work, reporting, research, testing, and scenario recreation.
  • Assist with gathering Workday report requirements and developing reports.
  • Maintain awareness of current Workday trends, focusing on product and service development, delivery, and support, and applying relevant technologies.
  • Participate actively in the Workday Community and in user group meetings and conferences.
  • Collaborate with functional users to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes, and leverage technology capabilities.
  • Serve as a liaison between University departments and Information Technology Services to provide Workday systems support and analysis.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology Services Project Managers on project plans and schedules.
