The Department of Fine Arts at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for FA11b, Beginning Painting: Visual Possibilities, a four-credit course in Spring 2025. This course is a six-hour per week studio class recommended for freshman/sophomore studio art majors or other students desiring an in-depth painting course. The class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:05am – 11:55am or 2:30pm -5:30pm.
Candidates with Master of Fine Arts or equivalent and demonstrated teaching at the college or university level will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a draft course syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is October 15, 2024.
This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
