Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple propulsion system development, analysis and test projects related to aircraft engines and their components
  • Develop rigorous test procedures, protocols, and automation, with diagnostics capabilities such as flow, electrical, and mechanical sensing
  • Lead verification and validation test plans for fuel system, propulsion performance characterization, reliability and durability, aerodynamic performance, environmental, and acoustic performance
  • Act as Test Director and provide test roadmap for program development, with schedule and risk assessments
  • Collect, process, and analyze data, with clear outcomes and conclusions
  • Produce technical reports to capture and communicate the findings of the propulsion system design and development
  • Perform propulsion system, subsystem, and component verification and validation testing, focused on typical operational use cases as well as extreme edge cases of the operational envelope
  • Act as point of contact for test campaigns and collaborate with aerodynamics, flight controls, avionics, and aerostructures engineering to define test criteria
  • Use data and analysis to set acceptance criteria for propulsion hardware testing in production
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within hardware development projects, demonstrating initiative to propose and implement innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and overall project success and V-Bat reliability
  • Other duties as assigned
