Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in load planning, dispatching, or transportation coordination
  • Strong understanding of freight operations, routing, and carrier scheduling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and transportation systems (TMS)
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
  • Load Planning & Execution: Build, plan, and assign daily outbound and inbound shipments in Transportation Management System.
  • Load Planning & Execution: Optimize routing and equipment utilization to ensure timely, efficient delivery while minimizing transportation costs.
  • Load Planning & Execution: Review orders, consolidate shipments, and determine the best mode and carrier assignment.
  • Load Planning & Execution: Ensure alignment with required delivery dates (RDD/MABD) and customer-specific delivery guidelines.
  • Coordination & Communication: Communicate with carriers, warehouse operations, and customer service to confirm load details and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Coordination & Communication: Monitor in-transit loads, ensuring on-time performance and addressing any delays or accessorial issues proactively.
  • Coordination & Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for load execution and scheduling questions.
  • System & Documentation: Maintain accurate shipment data in Transportation Management System and supporting systems (e.g., FourKites, Tracktik, SAP).
  • System & Documentation: Validate BOLs, appointment confirmations, and proof of delivery (POD) documents.
  • System & Documentation: Ensure compliance with company SOPs, carrier contracts, and customer routing guides.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement: Track KPIs such as on-time pickup/delivery, cost per load, and tender acceptance.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement: Analyze trends to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement: Support carrier performance reviews and logistics optimization initiative
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP, or similar enterprise logistics platforms.
  • Knowledge of EDI processes, carrier portals, and digital visibility tools (FourKites, Project44, etc.).
  • Familiarity with regional carrier networks and warehouse operations.
