Solventum is seeking Maintenance Mechanic candidates to join our team in Stafford Springs CT!

• Shift: 3rd Shift (Monday - Friday; 11pm – 7am)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Maintaining all plant systems, which includes processing, packing, warehouse and facility operations.
• Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshooting and repairing gear boxes, transmissions, pulley systems, etc.
• Disassembling and reassembling of machinery and various other mechanical drives.
• Entering Work Orders and inventory via SAMS, SAP or other MRP system.
• Assisting with Preventative Maintenance, continuous improvement, Kiazen events, and Lean events
• Operating safely by observing all plant safety rules and regulations
• Operating and maintaining all material handling equipment (including PIVs)
• Performing other assignments as directed by supervision and leadership
• Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start)
• One (1) year experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work 3rd Shift (Monday - Friday; 11pm – 7am)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Professional certifications, military background or an Associate degree
• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment
• Possess strong mathematical skills and be a good problem solver
• Ability to read instructions, simple drawings or sketches
• PIV certification (will train as needed)
• High Lift experience (will train as needed)
